Symbian Signed Certification

All types of Symbian Signing

5Pro-Software is delivering ready to market products that have very high quality requirements. All our Symbian products are tested on Symbian Signed criteria and then Symbian Signed.

We are following all the time the newest Symbian Signed Criteria, and test products according to them. Prior to the Symbian Signed testing all our products go through profound functional testing. Test cases are written, and errors are electronically submitted and tracked.

5Pro has experience with next types of Symbian Signing:

  • Express Signing: most quick type of signing, but with the same requirements as in Certified Signing. Only simple applications that do not need special capabilities are eligible to be Express Signed.
  • Certified Signing at the test house: methods used for applications with special capabilities. We have very good experience with some test houses, the most we like mPhasis and Flander, as their signing process is very quick and straightforward.
  • Manufacturer approved signing: some applications have to be approved by manufacturer (mostly Nokia in our case) prior to being signed by the test house. We have good experience with such signing also.
  • Passive content signing: type that is used for content and themes

For signing we use our own TCT certificate, or certificate of the customer.

Usually we sign applications developed by us. But if you have need in consulting during the signing process, please do not hesitate to ask.
