Secure Contacts for Symbian

Secure Contacts is secure solution for protecting mobile contact database against unauthorized access. All contacts are password protected. It is a complementary solution to Secure Voice and Secure SMS, so now it is possible to encrypt not only voice and text messages, but also mobile contacts.

With Secure Contacts secure database is stored apart from the native Nokia contacts. Contacts database is encrypted with AES 256 encryption algorithm and is accessible using unique password. At first application start you will be prompted to enter this password. It is used to enter Secure Contacts and to protect the confidential information, so it should be something that can be easily remembered. The password won't be stored anywhere on the device in the accessible place. And because of security reasons there is no Copy to SIM card option.

  

The intuitive interface is similar to the native Nokia contacts interface. To start using Secure Contacts application, the new contacts should be added. If there are already previously defined contacts, they are listed in alphabetic order.

      

Secure Contacts allows to perform the following actions:

• Create the secured mobile contact (just fill in the corresponding fields)
• Make the voice phone call (after the Voice call the dialed number is silently deleted from the outgoing call log)
• Send SMS message (after the SMS sending the number is silently deleted from the outgoing messages folder, from reports log and Sent folder)

 

• Even after the disk dump will be made, the database will be visible as a single encrypted file
• Data encryption takes place on every application exit
• Enter a letter in the search field to show all contacts that contain the entered letter
• Add, Edit or Delete secured contacts from the contact list

Secure Contacts solution is highly customizable for the customers needs, if needed a higher encryption grade can be implemented.
